9A - Testing the Hypothesis Part 2

	Do you like standing in long coffee lines?	Do you use coffee Apps? Why or why not?	What would you recommend to reduce long coffee lines?	Would you use Coffee ATM machines?
Interview #1	Absolutely not.	I have the Starbuck app, but the shops on campus don’t let us (students) preorder from their app.	There should be more locations, like pop-up coffee spots around campus that offer coffee at a discounted price compared to Starbucks located on campus.	If it saves me time by not standing in line, then absolutely.
Interview #2	It’s not my favorite thing to do but it is something that everyone has to deal with.	I have the Starbucks app and Tapingo. I like to use them when I’m in a hurry and don’t have time to wait.	I would say using the coffee apps reduces customers wait times. I know it reduces mine.	I would totally use it!
Interview #3	Nope.	Nope. I don’t have a purpose for them.	Bring your own coffee to class with you. It saves time and money.	It’s a great concept, but it would just be another coffee shop in machine form. I can see myself using it, but I still think there will be long lines.
Interview #4	Who does? Not me.	I have the Starbucks app but I don’t use it very often. I typically bring my own coffee to campus.	Bring your own coffee so you don’t have to even stand in line. Starbucks is way too expensive for me.	I would use it if I didn’t bring my own coffee to campus. It seems very futuristic. I might play with it once or twice to see what it does for me.
Interview #5	It doesn’t bother me unless I have somewhere to be.	I’ve heard of some apps, but I don’t have any of them because I’m too busy to actually remember to download them.	There should be more staff scheduled to increase productivity throughout campus.	Personally, I don’t think I would use it because I barely have time to even download the other apps.

Who is in:	Coffee lovers, students in need of caffeine, busy/on-the-go students	Who is not:	Non-coffee lovers, students who don’t buy beverages/coffee on campus or in between classes
What the need is:	To find a faster way to receive coffee without waiting in long and timely lines.	What the need is not:	Another reason students are late for class.
Why the need exists:	Too many students arriving to class late because of long coffee lines.	Alternative explanation:	A way to obtain coffee/caffeine without being late to class.

I learned that waiting in long lines is always going to have a negative connotation. The coffee ATMs were very intriguing to all people I interviewed. Most thought that the concept was very progressive and innovative. Some thought it would just be added competition to the coffee shops already on campus. Most people also said that bringing your own coffee would be the best way to prevent waiting in long lines all together.
