29A Venture Concept No. 2

Coffee ATMs Opportunity: Our main market focus are college students and university faculty and staff. Consumer needs did play a big part in constructing this market; however, we also focused on demand levels, age, lifestyle, and social status. Consumers are satisfying their needs by either accepting their tardiness to work/class and waiting in long coffee lines OR by bypassing their daily coffee routine and not purchasing their favorite coffee. As long as coffee demands stay high, the “window of opportunity” will stay open. Innovation: These machines were created to bring consumers a new and quicker way to receive coffee. Not only this, but to bring consumers their own customizable coffee at the touch of a button. Each machine gives customers the ability to customize their own coffee off of their cell phone, computer/tablet, or even at the ATM itself. Each beverage is can be customized with different creamers, syrups, whipped cream, and other add-ons. There are multiple “...

30A Final Reflection

I really loved this course! I had tons of highs and very little lows. I loved how this course made us create a business concept. This really made me think about if I would do well in the business world and I think this I belong! My entrepreneur mind set is as strong as ever. This course really made me think that I was creating a theoretical concept that I can turn into reality. I was pushed to go out of my comfort zone and contact suppliers, contact business owners, and contact others in my market. I’m super proud that I can now consider myself someone that can conceptualize ideas easily. Before this class, I was all about formulas, facts, and fixed instructions. I had a very hard time trying to conceptualize different theories and ideas. It was something that I was not required to do in my past courses. If I had to recommend one thing to future students, I would say, keep up with these assignments. They will creep up on you if you procrastinate to the last minute. Also, make sure t...

27A Reading Reflection No.3

How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big , By Scott Adams 1) What was the general theme or argument of the book? The major themes I gathered from this book are self-motivation and determination and ‘deciding vs wanting.’ 2) How did the book, in your opinion, connect with and enhance what you are learning in ENT 3003? This book was all about self-pursuing and self-determination. I learned that failure is normal and was created to shape developing minds and paths. 3) If you had to design an exercise for this class, based on the book you read, what would that exercise involve? If I were to create an activity based off this book, I would make students create post about what makes a person successful in their opinion and why are these characteristics important. I would also ask students to describe their path during this semester and how it has shaped them in their path to success. 4) What was your biggest surprise or ‘aha’ moment when reading the book? In other wo...

28A Your Exit Strategy

I plan to stay with the business and develop partnerships with competitors, such as Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts, until I either retire or want to sell the company. I selected this particular exit strategy because I have always wanted to develop my own concept and turn it into a reality. Building this coffee ATM empire seems to have the potential to be very successful. This exit strategy relates to my other decisions because I see myself as a very independent entrepreneur and have very high hopes for my concept. Staying with my original concept and business gives me self confidence that I can be a leader of a major business or corporation. This concept has identified many future opportunities for itself, such as future partnerships and concept location expansion.

26A Celebrating Failure

During this past semester, I have been trying to stand up for myself more. I have failed numerous amounts of times at work try to make people take me seriously. Here is some background information about myself: - I am easy going - I have a hard time saying no - I let people make fun of me and pick on me - I am often told that I let people push me around - I am a people-pleaser A good example of this is when coworkers think it is okay to jokingly blame me for someone else’s incident or situation and my bosses take them seriously and I have to try to clear my name because I am easy to target. I tend to get nervous and nervously laugh when I am being picked on. Its hard when people don’t take you seriously. It makes me think that people don’t respect me. What I have learned is that people take you more seriously when nipping situations in the butt from the start. Being a “closer” at a restaurant, other servers will take advantage if you a lackadaisical p...

25A What's Next?

Existing Market From what I gathered from my own expectations and from my gathered feedback, my venture shows great promises. My existing market agrees that my Coffee ATMs are the future of coffee distribution. The current market that I am targeting include college students and faculty. There has been very little thought about expanding into different markets like metropolitan areas or big cities. In the future, I plan to pique the interest of consumers in the business world, instead of focusing on Millennial college students. Consumers in in the business world have little time to relax and take a coffee break, let alone wait in line for one. Marketing a quick and painless coffee concept to business workers is the future of Coffee ATMs. A business man that is running late to work and had little to no sleep the night before will be in search for a quick and easy coffee that fits his coffee preferences. My Coffee ATMs will be there to help out busy business...

24A Venture Concept No. 1

Coffee ATMs Opportunity:                The market I am trying to reach are college students and university faculty and staff. This market was constructed by the consumer need, where this product is demanded most (geographically), age, gender, lifestyle, and social status. Currently, customers are satisfying their needs by either not purchasing their favorite coffee due to long lines OR sacrificing their tardiness and waiting in the long coffee lines. I will say that I am a loyal Starbucks customer, but I kept thinking “there has to be a quicker way.” Coffee demands are at an all-time high for college universities. The “window for opportunity” is wide open and I plan on taking advantage. Innovation:                Our business has created the best new way to obtain your favorite flavor of caffeine. We have created the Coffee ATM. These ...
